First Steps

After you have contacted me we can arrange a time to meet as soon as is possible.

The first session is an opportunity to for us to get to know each other. I will ask you what brings you to therapy or counselling, and what outcome you want from your sessions. We would talk about how we would work together, and I will say more about how I work. The first session is usually enough for us to know whether we want to continue, and I appreciate you may want a few days to think it over.

Once the decision is made I find it helps to make a clear agreement that we both feel comfortable with. This will include a commitment to meet weekly, the nature of confidentiality and my cancelation policy.

I charge £60 for an hour session.
